What a WiFi QR code does
A WiFi QR code encodes your network name (SSID), password, and security type. When a guest scans it with their phone camera, the phone offers to join the network automatically — no typing, no spelling out "capital P, lowercase z, the number for the letter o." It is the single fastest way to get visitors online.
How to make one in 30 seconds
- Open the Scanmint QR generator and pick the WiFi type.
- Enter your network name (SSID) exactly as it appears, including capitalization.
- Choose the security type (WPA/WPA2 for almost all modern routers) and type the password.
- Customize the colors if you like, then download as PNG or SVG.
Print it on a table tent, a sticker by the door, or a framed card at reception.
Where WiFi QR codes shine
Cafes and restaurants, short-term rentals and Airbnbs, offices and waiting rooms, and home guests. Anywhere people ask "what's the WiFi?", a QR code answers it instantly and makes you look polished.
Static vs dynamic
A free static code is perfect when your password rarely changes. If you rotate your guest password regularly, consider a dynamic QR code so you can update the destination without reprinting. Either way, start free with the generator.
